Its history dates back to the construction of the Roman city of Baelo Claudia. This curious sandstone limestone (calcarenite), has been used from then in western Andalusia. Especially from XVI century, when it gained great prestige and popularity, rivalling marble, as is evidenced by part of the paving of the Seville Cathedral and many other historical buildings in C\u00e1diz and Seville.<\/p>\n
